I wanted to make sure I didn't clutter up my Notion workspace from the start since I'm new to Notion.
The course helped me avoid the Notion clutter problem all altogether from the beginning. I've had this "clutter" issue in another application I used to store my data and information in the past. And while I did have some ideas on how not to make the same mistakes again, the ideas from this course (e.g. separating databases from the dashboards, use databases for most things and only store actual pages at the leaf level of the data tree, etc.) made my transition to Notion effortless.
The email course is clear, concise, and easy to understand even for people new to Notion or with less technical background. I liked the kitchen analogy the most! Janice was also very responsive to questions, that was great as well.

My biggest challenge has been overwhelm and an incessant need to declutter over using all the knowledge and insight stored to take meaningful action (a.k.a. productive procrastination).
The course was a game changer. The sidebar rework, understanding the difference between databases and dashboards, and the 1D1W approach to building a great dashboard - all of that has radically reshaped my workspace.
This course, along with Janice's Writer's Hub OS template, really allowed me to take a very short time to transform my digital workspace into a lean machine that effectively tracks my actions on the highest-leverage tasks for my work as a ghostwriter without slowing me down. It's a huge motivation boost!

I'm a Notion dabbler basically learning through trial and error. I took Janice's course pick up the more complicated concepts like database and views. The course comes with an example "The Daily Focus Hub" built in Notion, which makes following along the course content much easier.
This is a beginner friendly course, and I can tell I barely scratch the surface of what Notion can do. Although I must say after going through the course I've done two things: 1. clean up my Notion left nav bar. 2. turn some of my tables into database to make it more functional.
I highly recommend getting this free course, and Janice is very available to answer any questions, she is a wealth of Notion resource.

If you use Notion, you need to know the concepts from this course.
It's a simple way to keep things organized by having "a place for everything"
If you're downloading templates left and right and feel like Notion is bursting at its seams, check this out now! Don't wait.

I had a sneak peak at the 5-day email course, Clutter to Clarity in Notion Roadmap from @slow_is_better
Simplicity is key for me and this course brought that to my Notion with plenty of room for it to still be my own.
I think the pictures speak for themselves.
